Condolences
The family of Bernetta G. Kahabka has received the following condolences.
I had been out of touch for a couple of months. My mom was hospitalized Sept 30, in a nursinghome the month of October and moved to a home in Colorado in November. I got back from Colorado and started reading two months' worth of newspapers and discovered Bernetta's obituary. My heart just sank. I was planning on visiting her the next day!
What a special woman. Every Monday when I would deliver Meals on Wheels she was my first delivery. She always started me off with such a wonderful smile. And I so enjoyed getting to know her on a more personal level. It had always been a bright point in my day to just pop in for a visit. And she shared a cutting from her Bleeding Heart bush. I planted it in my yard in Colorado since we hope to move back there in the Spring. It will be a beautiful way to remember a beautiful friend.
My condolences to each in her family.
Kathy
Nancy,

To the family of Bernetta...
Even though I didn't know her as well as family, I felt very close to Bernetta, she was truly "a freind to everyone she met" and I often think of her waving good by to me from the door each day I left taking care of her. I have never known such warmth from someone so new in my life before. I miss her but she has left me with many fond memories for such a short freindship. I had not ever used that red apple dish in the past but I will be sure to keep it handy from now on.
The Lord sure got a Jewel for Heaven in Bernetta
Luv, Julie
