Baerbel K. Rehder

Baerbel Kaete Rehder, née Reiners – Rochester

Baerbel Kaete Rehder, age 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Supportive Living of the Charter House on March 16, 2025. She was born May 27, 1929, in Oldenburg, Germany, where she practiced as a registered pediatric nurse. Later, she trained and practiced as a licensed physical therapist. After she had completed her training, she moved to Rochester, MN, where she and Kai were married in 1958. She dedicated her life to raising a wonderful family. She was modest and will always be remembered for placing the needs of others before her own, for being a loving and supportive wife and for proudly raising four boys. She will be missed.

She is survived by her husband Kai; her children Dirk, Joerg, Kai-Detlef, and Mark, two daughter-in-laws Raj and Paula, and her six grandchildren Charlie, Lydia, Carson, Lauren, Kai Derek and Nick.

Memorial service will be held at the Charter House Chapel on May 10, 2025, at 2:30 p.m.
