Condolences

The family of Arvid O. Nietz has received the following condolences.

I remember your Dad being such a big man, towering over everyone.  I will never forget watching him climb your antena.  It was so tall but he scaled it like it was a foot off the ground.  I remember how upset he was when my grandmother's car crashed down the hill and into your garage.  So many memories.  I hope you find solace in knowing that he is not in pain and in a beautiful place.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sue

I will miss you Arvid and seeing your face at auctions. We spent alot of good times talking an afternoon away over coffee and cookies you would pick up for dollar some where. I loved giving you a rough time when you would buy an item at auction. My friend you were truly " one in a million ".

So good to see you, Babe, in Dryden, Onterio this summer. We go back a long way, over 50 years. My first eye this summer is for U Babe...

Tommy

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.  He was a fun guy.  I went to one-room country school with Arvid.  The school house still is there...by the Airport road to Stewartville.

Sincerely,

Mary Jo (Lynaugh)2Galligan

Sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. He was a good man. Putting up Basketball hoop for us to play basketball in your driveway, to building the playhouse for you guys ( that I ran into. lol)

Kim, Julie, and Jeff sorry for your loss. Archie was one that always seemed bigger than life, invincible. Oh the days we spent at your house driving him nuts until he would push us on the swings so high it seemed we could touch the sky. No One could send us soaring like Archie. Some of my teenage years were shaky  with ( BIG RED) but we made it through LOL. Was great to see him at his 80th birthday. I am so grateful for being a part of your lives for so many years.

To the Family and Friends of Arv...He certainly was one of a kind...and he will be missed very much.   I enjoyed working with him when I was a new apprentice, as he was always kind and considerate.  The dance floor at the VFW will never be the same without his light step twirling around it!  Dawn

Jeff and family, I am sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

I wish to extend my sympathy.  Arvid was always a pleasure to be around.  I can attest to him loving auctions.

He not only loved to be there, he very much loved to help.  When I think about Arvid I see him standing behind us handing up the items to sell.  He was right in his glory.  More than once I tried to pay him and he would not hear of it.  I think any auctioneer in the area would say the same thing.  I know you have a lot of fond memories, as do a lot of us.

Lowell

Jeff and family:

Was heart sick to hear of your loss.

I will be thinking of you and praying for your peace and healing.

Please let me know if I can do ANYTHING for you.

All my best, always

Amy

Not sure if this is Jeff's dad or not, but I am pretty sure it is. Jeff, I haven't lived

in Rochester for years, but I come on the Macken site from time to time to check

to see who we have lost, and I want to extend my condolences and prayers to you

and your family. Hope you are full of many fond memories like I am of my dad.

God's blessings,

BJ

To everyone in Arvid's family:   We were sorry to hear about Arvid.  We are certainly glad we were able to get together last summer for his 80th birthday celebration. May the love you shared, light a path through your grief.

Our deepest sympathies, Judy & Jack
