Arvella Franklin Neal

Arvella Neal, mother, grandmother, and friend went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 91 years, on December 3, 2019.

Born and raised on a farm in Oklahoma, Arvella was a beloved parent and wife, an avid gardener, a skillful seamstress, devoted teacher and home maker.

Professionally, she taught school and was particularly committed to teaching elementary aged students, as she was convinced that with the proper educational and spiritual foundation, all children could enjoy school, as well as excel in life.

She is survived by her daughters, Loni and Trish; son-in-law, Edd; daughter-in-law, Linda; grandchildren, Leah, Jessica, and Anissa; siblings; nieces; and nephews. Her home going will be celebrated on December 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Autumn ridge Church in the Timothy Chapel. Interment will be at Oil Springs Cemetery in Carter County, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her son and husband.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Season’s Hospice of Rochester.

Palecia Franklin Lewis and family.

Patricia,

There are no words that will speak my heart for you and your family right now. The only thing that I can offer at this time is for you all to know that I'm praying for you.  I'm standing in the gap and believing that our God will ease you all into your new normal. Patricia, you already know that I care about you and love you very much. Even during times like these - when you find things hard, like now.

From your sister friend,

Gailene

Dr. Loni Neal and family~

I am so sorry to read about your mother passing away.  I remember at my appointments with you we would talk about our moms and how they were doing.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Arvella has been a part of our lives for years, and she will be greatly missed. We enjoyed our visits with her. She loved the sun room, and we would talk about her flowers. Great lady. Thoughts and prayers with the family.
