Arloene A. Andrist

The funeral for Arloene Andrist will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11:00am in the Macken Funeral Home River Park Chapel with the Rev. Beth Perez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at Byron Cemetery.

Mrs. Andrist, 95, formerly of Rochester, died August 12, 2016 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield. Arloene was born December 24, 1920 to Lee and Bessie House. She went to school in Byron and married John Andrist on August 5, 1937.

Survivors include three sons, Ken (Linda) of Eyota, Glenn (Eileen) of Alexandria, and Keith (Danette) of Hawick, MN; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and one sister Lois (Bob) Rud of Hayfield. She was preceded in death by her husband John, son Stan, daughter-in-law Janet, grandson Steve, two sisters and two brothers.

Arloene enjoyed camping in their RV, fishing, family gatherings with sons and grandchildren, playing cards, bingo and playing music with husband John and son Stan.

Macken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family of Arloene A. Andrist has received the following condolences.

Arloene is such a special person and will be greatly missed by many.  I have been thinking about her lots lately and am happy she can be reunited with "Poppy".  Prayers go out to the entire family at this time of loss.  She was truly a blessing and will never be forgotten....Jackie
