The family of Arlene M. Krueger has received the following condolences.
So sorry to hear about Arlene’s passing. Such a wonderful and loving person. Her and Don were influential to me in my young adult years. You will be missed.
*Beacon of light & faith*
When I heard of the passing of Arlene a huge beacon of light and faith was dimmed from my life.
She was the aunt I always admired for her sheer faith and love of God. She walked the talk each and every day. Which was evident in how she touched the lives of all she met. It was her warm smile that always shined through that told me she was a true Christian and child of God.
Her talent for cooking and baking was always a delight to partake at family events. And showcased her love shining through.
Also her artistic talent shone through in her quilting, a true testament to her thoughtfulness, wrapping each recipient in a warm embrace. Love again shining through.
I was fortunate to inherit one of her masterpiece quilts. Made and dedicated to her sister Velda when she was going through very difficult times coping with the death of her husband. The quilt is titled "Falling Stars" the colors and construction are impeccable. Once again she shined that bright gift of love and light to comfort others.
So now when I wrap myself in her quilt to feel her warm embracing spirit. I will look up into the stars of heaven and look for the brightest star shining down on me and I will again recognize that bright beacon of light guiding my path.
Your adoring nephew, Alan Myers
As a former neighbor, we were sorry to hear of Arlene passing. Please know that the family is in our prayers. She and Don were good neighbors, always greeted you with a smile.
After Don passed she moved to The Homestead and we just recently saw her shopping at the 37th St Hyvee. She will be missed by those who knew her and the family.
Take care and may God keep you in his care.
