Angela M. Peterson

The funeral Mass for Angela Peterson will be at 10:30AM , Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rev. Timothy T. Reker officiating.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Angela Mary Peterson died on August 19, 2010 at The Homestead at Rochester. She was born on January 27, 1923 in Glencoe, MN to Godfrey and Margaret Gehlen. Angie married her husband Ralph Peterson on October 27, 1945 in Glencoe, MN. She lived and raised her family in Rochester, MN. Angie worked at the St. Francis school cafeteria during her children’s school years. She worked at JCPenney from 1969 until her retirement. Angie and Ralph moved to The Homestead at Rochester in November 2006.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph, three daughters: Jean (Gary) Slesinski of Rochester, Marlene (Bob) Edgar of Mantorville, Mary Ellen (Chris) Reiter of Elgin, and three sons: Jim (Judy) Peterson of Plymouth, Mike  (Paulette) Peterson of Rochester, and Tom (Norma) Peterson of Rochester, 14 grandchildren and five great-grandsons. She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers.

Angie loved being with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts, sewing (made 14 quilts for 14 grandchildren) and gardening. Angie was also an avid supporter of Cystic Fibrosis.

Friends may call from 4pm – 7pm Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Memorials can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Minnesota.
