Adam Kenneth Lentz

Adam Kenneth Lentz, 29 of Rochester, tragically took his life on November 3, 2021.

Adam was born on August 11, 1992 in Rochester to Kenneth and Leann (Vanselow) Lentz. He graduated from Lourdes High School with the class of 2011, excelling on the football field. He then attended Winona State University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Following graduation, he was employed at Smith Schafer & Associates in Rochester until the time of his passing.

Adam always enjoyed being with family and friends. Any gathering was always more fun with Adam. He enjoyed coming home to be with his family, and especially spoiling his nephew Dreyden. He also enjoyed golfing, football, watching sports, and “going to the river” with friends.

He is survived by his parents, Ken and Leann of Oronoco; his brother, Kurt (Kali) of Rochester; his nephew, Dreyden; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Vanselow; his paternal grandmother, Eunice Lentz; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edwin Vanselow; his paternal grandfather, Fred Lentz; his aunt, Elaine (Lentz) Skinner; and uncles, Gary Vanselow, Richard “Fred” Lentz, and David Olson.

Adam’s family would like to extend a message to all.  They encourage anyone with frustrating life situations to make sure and reach out to family, friends, or professionals to get the help they need. You are not alone.

The Funeral Mass for Adam will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Rochester (5455 50th Ave NW Rochester, MN 55901) with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 7, 2021 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Rochester.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Eagle Athletics Booster Club Football Account.
