Condolences

The family of Leona A. Rolfzen has received the following condolences.

I was saddened to hear of Leona's passing.  So many memories of growing up as your next door neighbor; in later years, of summers visits on the back patio with BJ and Leona.  BJ's stories and Leona's gardens.  It is good to know they are at peace and together and resting in God's hands

Love to all,

Jan Lacika

I was so sad to hear of Leona's passing.  So many memories of her lovely smile, beautiful gardens and delicious baked goods.  I still make "Leona Rolfzen's Blueberry Muffins" and they are always a hit.  Whenever I reminisce about our years growing up in Hibbing, there will always be fond memories of Leona and all of our Rolfzen family neighbors.

My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

My sincere condolences to the family of Leona Rolfzen.

Leona always struck me as such a gracious and lovely woman.  Both she and BJ were very well thought of here in the Hibbing community.

One hot sunny day years ago, I was sitting in the shade of a pine tree in the park in Hibbing, listening to a band play and BJ joined me on his scooter.  As we chatted, BJ asked where I was from.  When I told him the name of the small town that most people never heard of, he said he had been there, that Leona's brother lived there.  I was pleased and said I knew Walt, had babysat for his children and that he had worked with my father in the lumber yard there.

We miss BJ Rolfzen and now we will be missing Leona as well.

My condolences to the family on the passing of Leona.  My dad and mom (Odin and Marie Johnson) were very close friends with Bon and Leona for decades.  My dad and mom had countless hours of "coffee time" with them and others in the neighborhood where they would discuss the news and events of the day. They all enjoyed each others company very much.  My sympathies to all of you.

My heart goes out to all the family.  Leona was such a lovely lady.  She was always so ready to put on a pot of coffee and share her gardens when I visited in Hibbing.  May she rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you children and families.  I have fond memories of your parents.  God's will be done.

Thinking of Leona with sincere sympathy to you, the family.

To Leona's family, to her brothers, Walter and Sylvester and sisters, Angeline, Juliana and Bernie, my heart goes out to you.  Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

May your family continue to gain strength , as the hearer of prayer embraces your hearts during this most difficult time. Keep comforting one another and building one another up, with love and encouragement to stay strong. Sharing your memories will bring back to mind the joys and the warm feelings of love, helping you to gain strength. We hope that the many hugs, cards, kind words, and loving prayers grant your family peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Your mother wore many hats and know you will carry many wonderful memories of her in your hearts.

Leona was a wonderful and caring person.  What I would call a true Lady in all aspects.  I truly enjoyed our visits with her and Bunny. Sorry for her families loss..they now have both their parents watching over them which is a true blessing.
