Condolences

The family of James F. Eischen has received the following condolences.

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband Jim.

Lynn, Carolyn and Matt,

We are saddened by the passing of Jim, who was such a lively character in the Mengelkoch family, He was so excited about life and loved to have those intellectual conversations on just about any topic. Jim was always interested and curious about other people and I enjoyed the conversations I had with him.

Whenever the food prices start to creep up, Greg and I grumble and then laugh as we recall the time - so many years ago it seems - when we were at Grandma Mengelkoch's house and Jim protested that he was never going to buy another banana until they went back to 10 cents a pound! I imagine he broke down and some point and began to enjoy bananas again, at least I would hope so!

Carolyn and Matt, your father loved you two so much. It was always evident what a devoted and involved father he was and how much he adored his children.

This has been a long and grueling road for all of you, but what a testimony of love you have shown to the world in your care for Jim these past years. His passing will leave a huge void in your hearts to be sure. But he is at peace and at home with the Father. God bless you all and know that we are all thinking of you in this very sad time.
