Myrtle Irene Foster, 99 of Rochester, died Friday, May 31, 2013 in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Myrtle was born April 5, 1914 at Donnybrook North Dakota. She came to Rochester, MN in 1933 to take nurses training at St. Marys Hospital. She graduated as an RN in 1937 and continued to do private duty until 1946.
Myrtle I. McIntosh married Edward J. Foster on July 29, 1944. They lived their entire married life in the Rochester area. Mr. Foster was a retired business owner and founder and president/manager of the Rochester Sand and Gravel Corporation. Ed died April 16, 2012.
Myrtle enjoyed traveling, spending time at their cabin, cards, fishing and her church activities.
She is survived by a daughter Rosanne M. Seagle; a son James E. (Laura) Foster a granddaughter, Valerie Murrietta; three grandsons, Mike, Ben, and Joe Foster and two great-grandchildren, Sean and Hailey.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Sandra; a son-in-law, Mike Seagle;
Mrs. Foster was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church, St Marys Rosary Society and St. Marys Hospital retirement club
A funeral Mass for Myrtle will be held at 10:45 am Friday June 7th 2013 at Madonna Towers Chapel with the Rev. James Russell. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the chapel on Friday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Rosanne, Jim, so sorry to hear of Myrtle's passing. Without Ed around, I'm sure she was ready to join him. They were together for a long time. Pat and I are in California so will not be in town for the funeral. Our condolences to both of you. We have many fond rememberances of Ed and Myrtle. They were great people. Pat & Bill Fitzgerald
