Huy Chan

Huy Chan, age 71, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on March 16, 2013 in Rochester.

Huy enjoyed being outdoors in the garden.  He also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.  In his spare time he really enjoyed building his traditional Cambodian instruments.  He served in the Royal Cambodian Army aiding the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a great father who raised a great family and we thank him and love him.

He is survived by his children Map Terri Chan, Hen Chan, Chrip Chan Duong, Heup Chan all of Rochester; Horn Chan of Austin, MN, Hoeun Chan of Lowell, MA  Terra Chan of St. Charles, MN and Tak Chan of Tacoma, WA ; 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings Phath Chan of Rochester, MN and Mam Phum of Long Beach, CA.
