Condolences
The family of Albert L. Givan has received the following condolences.
I will miss Al, I joined the USMC in 1984 and everytime I came home on leave I stopped at Al's Barbershop to get a flat-top like nobody else could cut, not even the military babershops on base. I continued getting my flat-tops from Al after I got out of the Marines until Al retired a few years back. Al was always fun to chat with and I will always remember many things from his barber shop, like the pink brill flat-top wax that would make a flat-top stand at attention all day, and the hot shaving cream and the smooth feel of the razor blade gliding against my scalp as Al gave it the final tune-up after each hair cut. I remember the old pop machine inside the shop, and the blue flat-top sign hanging out front, I even have a picture of 3 other guys and myself standing in front of it, all sporting our fresh flat-tops in the summer of 2002. I will really miss Al Given and I'm thankful for the memories. Jeff parkinson
