Fred Decker

The funeral service for Fred Decker will be at 11:00am Thursday, August 30, 2012 at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home with Pastor Bernie Boldt officiating.  Burial will in Grandview Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Decker, 96, of Rochester, long time employee of Kruse Lumber and Rochester Civic Center died Tuesday August 28, 2012 in Mankato, Minnesota.

Frederick Alvin Decker was born on April 22, 1916 to William and Mary (Springer) Decker.  He married Elda Apfel on July 29, 1938 in Kasson.  Fred enjoyed gardening, wood working, fishing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, grandchildren Ron (Jody) Decker, Sue (Wayne) Darge and John Decker; 9 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, Caitlin, Karissa, Kelsey, Kyle, Nicole, Anson, Lauren and great-great granddaughter Remmie; 2 sisters, Dahl Bailey and Fran Cochran.  He was preceded in death by his son Ron; 3 brothers, Lester, Daryl and Paul.
