Robert “Bob” Phiefer

The Memorial Service for Robert “Bob” Phiefer will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church (Marion Road SE) with the Rev. Scott Schilbe officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Robert Sanford Phiefer, 74, of Rochester passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 with his family by his side.  He had been ill for five months.

Bob was born on November 13, 1937 in Waseca, Minnesota to Sanford and Lillian (Buck) Phiefer.  He was raised on a farm near Hayfield Minnesota, and attended Hayfield schools.  He served in the United States Army from 1955 – 1958.

Bob married Jackie Kramer on December 5, 1959 in Douglas Minnesota. Bob was an equipment operator for the Rochester Park and Recreation Department for 27 years, retiring in 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie and two sons, Scott Phiefer of Eyota and Michael Phiefer of Rochester, five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob enjoyed spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing and working out of doors.

Memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church.

Jackie and family, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing- my thoughts and prayers are with you. Most of my thoughts today are about the laughs we had together and about how much Bob loved his family, the lake, hunting and the outdoors.
