Michael “Mick” Laudon

The funeral for Michael “Mick” Laudon will be at 10:30AM Friday January 7, 2011 at St Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester, with Father Paul Nelson officiating.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday January 6th 2011 at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.

Mr. Laudon, 57, of  Belle Plaine Minnesota, formerly of Rochester, died Monday January 3rd as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Michael was born July 17, 1953 in Rochester MN to Milan and Cecilia Eickhoff Laudon.  He graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester.  After graduation he moved to Minneapolis where he trained at the Minneapolis Technical College in jewelry manufacturing and repair. After working in the jewelry industry for 10 years he switched careers and spent the last 20 years working at the Fresh Start Bakery in Chaska, MN, where he was employed at the time of his death.

Survivors include his father, Milan Laudon of Rochester, brothers Dale (Kim) Laudon of Ham Lake MN, Dennis (Laura) Laudon of Rochester, Steve Laudon of Wautoma Wisconsin; and 4 nieces and 4 nephews. His mother Cecilia and stepmother Mary preceded him in death.

Michael was a hardworking devote Catholic who enjoyed his time with family.
