Guy Anderson III, 74, of Chicago, IL, who also resided in Rochester, MN, and Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, in Rochester.
Guy was born on November 8, 1949, in Chicago, IL, to Guy Anderson II and Helen (Lee) Richardson. He attended Kennedy High School in Chicago and furthered his education at Minnesota Southeast Tech in Winona, MN, where he graduated with a degree in nursing.
Known for his vibrant personality, Guy enjoyed socializing and was often the life of the party. He had a great love for sports and enjoyed live jazz music. He was genuinely loved by all who met him, leaving a lasting impression with his warmth and charisma.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Helen Richardson; life partner, Belinda Terry; brothers John Richardson (Connie) and Jeff Richardson (Debbie); his children Victor Anderson (Jodi), Sarah (Jenny) Anderson, Nicholas Anderson (Liz), Taylor (Adiel) Cardenas, and Trevon Anderson and his grandchildren; Tanner, Brady, Parker and Adiel. He also leaves behind several cherished nieces, nephews, and dear cousins.
Guy was preceded in death by his father, Guy Anderson II; his stepfather, Grover Richardson; his brother, David Anderson; and his sister, Christal Richardson.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 222 6th Ave. SW, Rochester, MN, on June 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Friends are invited to share their memories of Guy during the luncheon after the funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church.
