John Edward Sneve Jr, 58, of Minneapolis, passed away October 1, 2023 in Minneapolis.
John was born in Rochester, MN on March 27, 1965, to John and Catherine (Shanahan) Sneve, John was a graduate of Mayo High School and he led a multifaceted life that embodied creativity, passion, and a zest for living.
From a young age, John was drawn to the world of music. His love for rhythm and melody led him to become proficient in playing the guitar, effortlessly transitioning between acoustic and electric styles. Whether he was rocking out with a heavy metal band or strumming along to uplifting Christian rock, John poured his heart and soul into his music, leaving a lasting impact on audiences. Beyond music, John found joy in restoring antiques and exploring the beauty of art pottery. His attention to detail and appreciation for craftsmanship shone through in his restoration projects. John’s culinary talents were another facet of his vibrant personality, and he worked as a chef at Henry Wellington’s and The Bank in Rochester. He also enjoyed fishing, where he found relaxation in the great outdoors.
John was known to many for his sense of humor and how he approached life with an energetic and outgoing spirit. Above all, John was known for his love of being with friends and family, his creativity, energy, and love for life left a mark on the world, and he will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
John is survived by his children, Airika Sneve and Nicholas Groszbach both of Minneapolis, several grandchildren, sister, Julie Sneve of Rochester and half brothers, Tyler Sneve (niece Lylli) of Rochester and Sam (Rachel) Sneve of Minneapolis. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine.
