Condolences

The family of Kenneth “Ken” Allan Hames has received the following condolences.

Kenner...the Man, the Myth, the Legend.   No Joke.  Kenner was whip smart, quick-witted, a frank communicator and soft-hearted.   A true champion of the underdog.   I was lucky enough to work with Kenner for 24 years and saw first hand his work ethic and strong convictions.  His prowess as a CAD Technician and later as a Senior Construction Supervisor are evidenced by the many notable Municipal projects that we all enjoy today.  We shared a love of Viking football, music, gossip and itty-bitty pieces of pop culture. We shared headier matters as well being a sounding board for one another as we navigated the care of our aging parents.

I remember one especially trying day at work and smiled as I passed by the dry erase board.   "Be nice or go home" it stated and I knew exactly who wrote it.  I believe his timely advisement still remains in the office despite a location move and both of us retiring.  Additionally, I wished Kenner a Merry, Merry Christmas to which he responded "Let there be peace on Earth!"  I vow to uphold both of his encouragements.  I am forever grateful to him for his friendship, his humor and his occasional pot-stirring.

God Bless Joni, the Kids and Kenner's family.

Love and Mercy.   Ann Fogarty

My condolences to Ken’s family.
Growing up in Kasson, Ken was one of my  good friends, always a good guy.
I regret that we haven’t kept in touch over the years.
Rest in Peace, Ken.
