Terry Noel Treder

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Terry Noel Treder (64), who departed this life on August 17, 2025, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, Minnesota. Born on July 24, 1961, in Bismarck, North Dakota, Terry was the son of Melbourne (Mel) and Katherine (Kitty) Treder.  He was a graduate of Stewartville High School, where he completed his education in 1979 and was awarded a National Merit Scholarship, before pursuing his academic dreams at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1983.

His professional journey began in 1983 when he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and took his first steps into the corporate world at Harris Corporation. However, it was at Citrix Corporation that Terry truly made his mark. Joining the company in 1993, he dedicated over two decades of his life to the advancement of computer software technology and innovation until his retirement in 2015. Terry’s exceptional contributions were recognized as he earned the title of Distinguished Engineer and held multiple patents with Citrix, which is a testament to his technical knowledge, collaborative efforts and dedication in the field.  In his retirement Terry enjoyed continuing to live in south Florida (Delray Beach) and enjoyed the sunshine, warmth and local events. Terry also enjoyed traveling to places around the world and visiting the sites and museums located there.

Terry is survived by both of his parents, Mel & Kitty, his brother Chuck and his wife Vickie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and additional relatives.  He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville, MN, across the street from his boyhood home.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Season’s Hospice House for their care of Terry during his last seven weeks.  They were able to make his final home on earth the most comforting for Terry, and for the family.

A family gathering to remember Terry will be scheduled for a future date.
