David “Batt” Batterson, 81, of Rochester MN died Monday, August 4, 2025.
Dave was born July 2, 1944, in Rochester, MN to Lloyd and Dorothy (Vincent) Batterson. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1962. On October 7, 1972, he married Marsha K. Dorn at Emmanual Lutheran Church, Silo, MN. The couple lived in Rochester. Dave worked at and retired from Pace Dairy, Rochester after 30 years.
Dave is survived by his wife, Marsha; children, Roger (Julie) Batterson, Cedar Rapids IA, Tim (Nikki) Batterson, Frisco TX, Jason (Amy) Batterson, Rochester, MN, and Jennifer (Brian) Hughes, Bloomington, MN, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law, one brother and two sisters.
Dave loved watching the Minnesota Vikings, tending to his yard, Saturday breakfast with his siblings, 4th of July celebrations at the Rushford cabin and spending time with his family, friends and neighbors.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church, 800 East Silver Lake Dr, Rochester, with Rev. William Keller officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, August 8, 2025, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, 1119 11 1/2 St SE, Rochester, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
