Condolences
The family of Nancy Louise Hartert has received the following condolences.
I was a bedside RN on Domitilla 2D for over thirty years, and Nancy was the nursing supervisor. Though small in stature, she was a "force with which to be reckoned"! She mentored many of us young nurses, to advocate for the patients' and families' needs, demonstrating by her actions, the "heart of a helper". I remember her great sense of humor, which helped defuse some tense situations over the years. She was highly respected, sometimes "feared", because she had such passion for things being done the right way, in every circumstance. But she didn't hold anyone to a higher standard than she had for herself, and that's one of the things I most admired about this dear lady. I can only imagine what a fun Grandma and Great-Grandma she was! I will lift all of the friends and family in prayer, to be strengthened for life "in this new normal" without her here. No doubt she is in the company of the angels!! Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.
I worked with Nancy at St. Mary’s many years ago. Nancy was a friend and mother figure in our lives as nurses at Mayo. She embodied the aspect that everyone was important no matter who and where they came from. God certainly got a wonderful angel to watch over us. My thoughts are for Nancy’s family and friends with her passing.
Hello Julie et al,
