Chad A. Emmons

Chad A. Emmons, 50 of Rochester, MN passed away on Tuesday April 29, 2025 due to complications following a liver transplant, surrounded by his loving family.

Chad Allen Emmons was born May 3, 1974 in Rochester MN to Rollie and Lana (Allen) Emmons. He grew up and attended school in Stewartville, graduating with the class of 1992. Following high school, Chad worked for Bucknell Construction of Racine, where he excelled in heavy equipment operation.  Being recognized for his excavating skills he was later pursued by Griffin Construction of Chatfield.

In 2011 Chad began his career with the City of Rochester as a heavy equipment operator for the Public Works Department. In 2017 he was promoted to crew chief where he would prove his loyalty and dedication to the city.  In 2021 he accepted the supervisor position of Sanitary Systems Sewer Crew where his team recognized him for being more than just a dedicated employee, but the heart of the crew.

Chad had a deep passion for restoration – especially when it came to vehicles and structures. He loved the outdoors, from snowmobiling out west to sunny beach vacations. Jeep rides with his dogs, and time spent at his favorite camping spot brought him joy, especially when shared with family and friends. Chad believed that anything worth doing, was worth doing right. Though quiet and calm he was fierce in his response to every situation.  Throughout his transplant journey, he was courageous and gracious, a constant inspiration to everyone who knew him.

Chad is survived by his wife – Daesha (Stoltenberg); daughters – Jaida (Jules Smith) and Addison; parents – Rollie & Lana Emmons of Stewartville; brother – Tyler Emmons (Carmen Busby) of Vance, AL; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents – Harold and Helen Emmons, Don and Lois Allen.

In honor of Chad’s strength, courage and generosity we ask that you consider donating blood or becoming an organ donor. Let his legacy of resilience and compassion live on by giving hope to others in need.

The Funeral Service for Chad will take place in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home (1119 11 ½ Street SE Rochester, MN 55904) starting at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 8th 2025. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, May 7, 2025 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm along with one hour prior to the service in the River Park Chapel in Rochester.
