Wayne Paul Vandal
Wayne Paul Vandal, 83 of Kasson, MN passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Wayne was born July 3, 1941 in Rochester, MN to Wilfred “Fritz” and Lula Mae “Judy” (Corliss) Vandal.
He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1961. He then worked for French’s Produce for 25 years and later Pace Dairy for 15 years, until his retirement. He loved spending time with family, woodworking, bird watching and traveling the country in his RV. He especially loved working outdoors and carrying on family traditions of Sunday breakfast at McDonalds and hosting Christmas Eve for the entire family. Wayne married Kathy Niehus in 1999. The couple made their home in Kasson, MN.
Wayne is survived by his wife Kathy; four children from a previous marriage: Gary (Brenda) Vandal of Byron, Eric (Ramey) Vandal of Rochester, Dan (Michelle) Vandal of Rochester, Katy Vandal of Rochester, a sister: Rosemary (John) Lyman of Montana, a brother: Jim (Ruth) Vandal of Byron, 10 grandchildren: Kammi, Cory (Laura), Alyson (Jeff), Lauren (Brandon), Collin, Connor, Alex, Ari, Hailey, Azalyn and three great-grandchildren: Makalia, Henry and Cayden.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Jerry, David and Dale.
The Memorial Gathering for Wayne will be held from 10:00AM until 12:00PM with Luncheon following on Friday, February 7, 2025 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.

So sorry for your loss. We weren't able to see you often but always was had a great time with Wayne. He was a good man. Just looked at many of the pictures from our 2010 family reunion where Wayne had taken most all the pictures of all the family attending. If you would like any of those pictures I would be happy to share them with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Wayne was such a good man to you. I would always enjoy coming out to your home for lunch, sitting in the swings, having conversations with you and Wayne with a few cocktails . Wayne will be missed.
