Kathleen M. Martin – Rochester

Kathleen Marie Lilly Martin (Holty) passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at home.

Kathy was born November 21, 1947, in Spring Grove, MN to Alden and Lillian (Wicklund) Holty.  She married Roger W. Martin on June 15, 1968, in Spring Grove, MN.  Kathy and Roger have lived in Rochester, MN in the same house for almost 57 years.  Kathy worked as a surgical recorder at St. Marys Hospital for 3 years and then a medical secretary for the department of orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic for 41 years.

Kathy loved to travel, take pictures, collect antique dishware, cook amazing hot dishes, bake delicious desserts, ride her horse as a child and teen, and most of all she loved her family.

Kathy is survived by her husband Roger, daughter Kari (Craig) Ratz, son Brian (Sarah) Martin, and 5 grandchildren: Alex, Julia, Andrew, Sophia, and Jameson.

The Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, 1105 12^th Street SE with visitation one hour prior to the service followed by a luncheon. Burial will be at a later date.
