On July 10, 2024, Craig Hartley Barry of Rushford, passed away at age 70.

Craig Hartley Barry was born to Dorismae H. and D. Hartley Barry at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota on April 4, 1954.

In his youth, Craig was active in his church, Calvary Episcopal Church as an acolyte. He played trumpet and was an avid fan of music. Craig loved being in the outdoors, skiing, fishing, and hunting. Craig achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America, through hard work and perseverance.

He graduated Mayo Senior High School in Rochester, Minnesota in 1972, and graduated Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, where he majored in Marketing.

Craig served his country in the United States Air Force 1978-1982 as Sargent in Postal Service at Lowry AFB, Colorado. Following his duty in the US Air Force Postal Unit, Craig was employed by the United States Postal Service in Rochester, Minnesota for 14 years.

Craig was initiated into the Masonic Fraternity of Blue Lodge, Rochester Lodge No. 21, AF & AM of MN.

He retired to Lanesboro, Minnesota, where he could hunt and fish to his heart’s content in the scenic Root River Valley. Craig enjoyed travelling with his RV, camping across the USA.

Craig resided for the last eleven years of life at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, Minnesota where he was a beloved resident. He loved to sit on the patio and enjoy a smoke with his coffee in the sunshine, philosophizing about life.
