I just learned of Gayle’s passing. I met her through quilting/crafting retreats. I enjoyed getting to know her and hearing of stories of her family who she cherished dearly. I will miss her! Julie

Jesse and LouAnn, my heart goes out to you as you navigate through this life without your biggest cheerleader.

I was blessed to work with Gayle in the prosthesis room at RMH for many years. She became a great friend and will always be remembered for her kindness and spunk. I would often run into her at concerts downtown and she would greet me with so much enthusiasm.

She loved with her whole heart and if you were blessed to be loved by her she made sure that you knew it.

I am unable to make it to her services but please know that she owns a piece of my ♥ heart. She was such an incredible woman and friend.

All my love, Nichole

Dear Cheryl and Elpert/Lowrie family,

I had the pleasure of working with Gayle at Methodist Hospital and see her smiling face in the hallway. Sending you all healing hugs as I will not be able to attend the visitation/funeral tomorrow.

Gayle (spelled “the pretty way” as I always told her) was such a joy to work with! I worked with her in the surgery department at Rochester Methodist Hospital for MANY years until I retired and moved to Colorado. She was always helpful, always smiling and just a dear person ❤️ I know her family and friends will miss her immensely and I will continue to think of her often with fond memories ❤️ Rest in Peace Gayle.

Jess,

Know we are thinking of you during this time.  I had a nice visit with Gayle a few months ago.  She was always so proud of you. ❤️

My dear friend Gayle, and my whole Elpert family. You have been a part of my life, through good times and hard times. Oh the memories and laughs we shared. I’m going to miss you Gayle. Maybe you’ll take me to an Eagles concert when I join you. 💕🥰🫶🏻

I am so sorry to learn of Gayle's passing. I worked with Gayle for several years and  found out we had many things in common. We shared a common passion for sewing and fabric! Yes, she was a perfectionist when working on her projects. We shared many great stories together on our sewing and shopping getaways.

While I was sewing frantically, she was meticulously making sure her seams were perfect. She would be up late into the evening perfecting her projects. She was a great resource of knowledge. Gayle always had such a positive outlook on whatever life through at her.

She loved - loved her family, sharing pictures, milestones and her fun experiences. And loved her dog Houdini.

I often think of her when eating garlic toast and get a little chuckle. I feel fortunate to have gotten to know her and we will miss our "Quilting Sister" very much.

My sincere condolences,

Gail Groteboer

Dear LuAnn (and family) and Jesse - we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to all of you.  We are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing.
She was a wonderful person - may she rest in peace.
