Christopher K. White

Christopher “Chris” Kenneth White, 36 of Rochester, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 of natural causes.

Chris was born March 31, 1988, in Johnson City, New York to Ken and Mary (Andree) White. The family moved to Rochester when he was one. Chris attended Holy Spirit Elementary School and graduated from Lourdes High School in 2006. He attended Iowa State University, obtaining a degree in Political Science with minors in Criminal Justice and Spanish. While in college, Chris worked during the summers as a camp counselor at Camp Batawagama in Iron River, Michigan. He earned his law degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2014, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Chris worked in the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office while in law school. Upon graduation, he clerked for District Judge Christina Stevens in Rochester.  He was sworn into the Minnesota Bar in 2014 by Judge Stevens. After completing his clerkship, Chris provided legal services to the Rochester community, first with the Rochester City Attorney’s office, then a year in private practice, and most recently with the Olmsted County Attorney’s office.

Chris was an active member on the board of directors for Family Promise Rochester, the Police Activity League, and was always ready to help family and friends. He enjoyed gaming online and playing board games. He was part of an ongoing D&D campaign and also enjoyed trivia nights.

Chris is survived by his parents, Ken and Mary of Rochester,  his sister Cari (Eric) Foster of Cleveland, OH,  his twin brother Kevin of Rochester, his paternal grandparents, Don and Pat White of Rogers City, MI,  and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Elaine Andree.

The Memorial Mass for Chris will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 12:00pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Rochester with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, September 5, 2024 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home along with one hour prior to the Mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Chris’s memory to Family Promise Rochester or the Rochester Police Activities League.

Mary Pyfferoen

Chris Brege

Chris was a wonderful friend and colleague who I was fortunate to have in my life. He is sorely missed.

Our deepest sympathy.  We pray God wraps your family in His arms and you find comfort in His love.

I am deeply saddened by Chris's passing. He and I were friends in high school and also neighbors. We would often play pool at his house late into the night. Later, in college, we joined the same fraternity and pool was replaced with ping pong. Chris always brought humor, support, and a sharp wit to every moment. My heart goes out to his family during this difficult time, and I hope they find some comfort in the many lives Chris touched.

Ken, Mary, and family,

Our deepest sympathies to you all. Our hearts go out to you at this time of incredible loss and sadness. Praying The Lord will be close to you now and in the days ahead. Praying for Him to strengthen your faith and to provide you comfort and peace in your sorrow.

Mark and Kathy Reeping

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Chris. He was not only a cherished friend but also a remarkable person whose kindness and spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. During our high school and college years, Chris was a constant source of joy and support. His laughter and warmth had a way of brightening even the darkest days. I will always remember the countless moments we shared. His friendship was a true gift. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. I can only imagine the depth of your loss. My thoughts are with you all as you navigate through this period of grief. May Chris rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the many cherished memories you have of him.

We send our deepest condolences and prayers to the entire White family as you mourn the tremendous loss of Christopher. May you find solace and comfort through your faith and by your loving family and friends.
May God Bless each of you and comfort you with love.
Mark and Jayne Arvold

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Christoper.  May the special memories you made together help you and your family through this difficult time.

I barely knew Chris.  He was so young and had a great future ahead of him.  I thank him and appreciate his activities with the PAL.  This is an organization that is near and dear to me as I helped get it organized and off the ground.  His contribution to it will not be forgotten.

Chris and I worked together for many summers at Camp Batawagama. Chris was one of my most favorite people to be around. His sharp wit and prankster personally always kept me laughing and watching for his next move. He will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to his family.

We are so sorry for your loss of a Loved One! Are hearts hurt for your Families.Eternal Granted onto the Soul of Chris, May Chris’s Soul and All the Souls of the Faithfully Departed Rest in Peace. May God Bless you All.

There are no words to adequately express my deepest sympathy to all of you. Know that you are being lifted up and held close to my heart in prayer. Surrounding you with much love during this difficult time and in the days and the weeks to come.

My sincerest condolences to Chris’s family. I worked with him for a short time in Olmsted but he quickly became a bright shining light each day in that office. He was kind, funny, and a joy to laugh with. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of this. This young attorney had a bright and successful career with his future ahead of him. He left far too soon. My sincere condolences.

Ken & Mary and family, I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. My heart aches for everyone. May God bless Chris and keep him safe in his arms. Prayers being sent upward that God will grant you all the strength and faith to get through this terrible time. Hugs, Anne

Our love and prayers are with you even though we are far away.
