Please accept my sincerest condolences for your family's loss.

I worked with John for 8 years at RPU and during that time got to know him quite well. He was always upbeat, had funny little sayings, and I loved hearing his stories, ranging from everything to the family cabin up north, to Scouting, to previous work experiences. He always had time to say Hi and would help you at a minute's notice. John will be missed by many of us at RPU.

So sorry for your loss. John was a good friend at RPU. John and I would talk about our sons in Boy Scouts. Different Troops but similar experiences. May God bless and keep you and your family. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Barb and family,

I just want to let you know I prayed for John at Mass these last two days. May the Angel of Consolation be with you all to strengthen you during this time. May the days going forward may your grief turn into comfort.

Eternal rest grant unto him O, Lord. And let perpetual shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

Although my heart is broken to hear this news today, I know that he is in a good place….MY CONDOLENCES TO ALL!!!

It was truly a miracle for him to be in remission for a time with this mysterious disease, bringing joy to the Lord for every cherished moment with his glorious-radiant smile and rosy cheeks upon my last visit this fall.

What a faithful couple to be given a rare grace, a reprieve, from glioblastoma! Such a blessing for friends to witness (especially after having a brother-in-law die at age 50 of the same thing upon our move to AZ).

Now we can rejoice for the new life he (we) are promised to those who love Him, take on His cross and walk His path with Joy to come—sharing in the promised risen life! (Google: John 14:27)

Since we are all called to be saints as Relevant Radio reminds us (Rom 1:7), remember to call upon John as an intercessor and document those miracles, keeping vigil! If 3 are documented, give it to Fr. Beerman, Fr. Andy Vogel or other, who knew him well, to take it to the next step. What a vibrant and joyful faith I’ve come to know through your family’s example. May you all be showered with many blessings to come!!

In the Spirit of Christ’s love, Laura Shen and family

Dear Barbara, Sarah, Anna, Justin, Andrew, Christopher, Jonathan.

We have so many wonderful memories or times past with all of you. Most Saturday nights with our Youth Holy Hour group, many pot luck dinners, birthday parties…

John frequently stopped over on his bike when riding home from work just to chat. He liked to bring the boys over to play on the skate board ramp in our driveway. He spend many hours helping Dave study for his Boilers License.
John was a good friend, kind, and gentle. We were blessed to know all of you.
May he Rest In Peace. May you feel God’s love as you grieve.

Dear Barbara and Family,

As you know John was a gentle man with a big heart. I'm sure he was a good husband and father to your children. As a Boy Scout leader like many youth leaders, more than helping boys with merit badges or driving scouts to campouts, John was an example to many boys as to what a dad looks like and how one acts. So beyond your immediate family, John was for all the Boy Scouts of Troop 186 an example of what a Good Man is. We will miss his presence, but we are better men and boys for knowing him.

Brad Treder, BSA Scout Troop 186

I grieve for you all, Barb and John's beloved children . John was a real gentlemen , kind and loving to everyone around him . He is now free from pain and sorrow and dwells in the mansions of the Lord . Bless you all !

sending love , thoughts and prayers to-you

and yours …..

Dear Barbara and children,

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved husband and father.  John was a very quiet man, but one who loved unconditionally.  He will certainly leave a huge void in your lives but remember he will walk with you every day.  And you will feel his presence if you allow it.  Your family has such great faith and at times you will doubt that.  But share all your memories and hold them near.
