So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. It was always fun to run into Bob and his big, friendly personality.

He always seemed genuinely interested in what we were up to. 

He was a devote man, to his wife, family, neighbors, church, Lourdes  and those he coached. 

May He rest in the peace of Christ.

OK………Uncle Bob may have lost his memory but those of us that he touched will never forget this wonderful man. 

The California Haggertys always looked forward to a visit with Uncle Bob and Aunt Patsy.  It was a highlight for the nieces and nephews when they would come to Bakersfield and when we would visit them in Rochester. Uncle Bob was always the life of the party telling a funny story or a cute joke, watching him dance, having a few beers and barbecuing for the family

At Uncle Bob & Aunt Patsy’s home, the 7 Haggerty nieces and nephews did not have to sit at the kid table.  We would get to hang at the kitchen table with the adults listening to their conversations.  Being a kid, this was pretty special.  We always looked forward to seeing the Scotty dog picture on the wall in their home. 

When I went to school in Rochester and stayed with Grandma Haggerty, Uncle Bob would check frequently on Grandma.  Grandma would make him lunch and he would come over on his lunch break.  Grandma would always trek down to her cold basement and retrieve a cold beer for them.  My car would not start in Minnesota’s freezing mornings.  Uncle Bob installed an engine heater so I could start it and go to school.  

Uncle Bob was just fun and someone we all loved to be around.  We will never forget this generous, kind and loving man.   

Dear Patty and Family,

We are so saddened to hear of Bob's passing!  We have vey fond memories of Bob coaching our daughter, Leah, with the Lourdes traveling basketball program.  We shared many smiles, much laughter and lots of pizza!  May God Bless you with His strength and courage as you travel this difficult road!  Blessed be his memory.

Lots of memories of school days with Bob, he always had a chucikle and laugh.  Then that yellow bomb he drove in later years, it was fun teasing him about it.  We worked on several class reunions, Bob was always willing to help and go the extra mile to make them successful. To Bob's family, my sympathy. As you gather and share your memories, I know you'll have many laughs and smiles.  Enjoy them!  I'm sorry I will not be able to attend Bob's funeral.  Please know you're all in my thoughts and prayers.

I'll never forget all of the fun times, laughs and stories... and maybe a few trips to Newt's and Brother's. The long car rides in the cold winters and hot summers coaching the teams and having so much fun doing it. He was loved by everyone so much!

Dear Patty and Family, I enjoyed getting to know Bob at Madonna Towers!  I remember most his sense of humor, his deep faith, and his LOVE of Patty and family. I smile because I used to refer to Bob as the “Leader of the Band.”  He enjoyed singing and often engaged others in song as they waited for meals, etc.  Bob brought a lot of life and joy to those around him at Madonna Towers.  He certainly brought joy to my days of working at Madonna Towers.   I pray that Bob will now enjoy enteral life and sing with the angels!  I ask God to bless you, Patty and your family, with loving memories and peace.  Sister Sue Reif, OSF
