Elaine Shirley Jacobson

Mrs. Jacobson, 77, of Rochester, MN passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at her residence of natural causes. Elaine was born April 14,1944 in Viola Township to Willis and Wilhelmia (Kreager) Roberts.

She married Millman Spearman in 1960 and lived at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. She later divorced and moved back to Minnesota and married Alvin Jacobson April 28,1970 in Hennepin County. Elaine moved back to the Rochester area in 1971. She worked for Embers Restaurant for 21 years before retiring on May 27,1993 working as a waitress then as the bookkeeper.

Elaine loved Camping especially at Bass Camp Resort on the Mississippi River.  She loved playing cards and having happy hours with the residents at Shorewood Senior Campus. From time to time, she would take bus trips to the Casinos.

Elaine is survived by her sister, Joan Counter of Bellchester, MN; two sons, Darwin (Jodi) Spearman of Rochester, MN and LeRoy (Lisa) Spearman of Byon, MN; four grandchildren, Steven (Amanda) Spearman, Melissa (Nick) Herrick, Joshua Spearman, and Kayla Spearman; and six great grandchildren, Cadence, Carter, Hayley, Jazlyn, Jackson and Harper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; her parents, Willis and Wilhelmina Roberts; brothers, Kenny, Mike, Gerald, Willy, Bob and Ivan; sisters, Geraldine Ries and Betty  Whitcomb; and daughter, Helen Spearman.

The Celebration of Life for Elaine S. (Blondie) Jacobson will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 11, 2021, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, MN. Private interment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
