Daniel Wayne (Danny) Alberts – Rochester
Daniel Wayne Alberts, 62, of Rochester, MN, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home Monday, January 4, 2021. Danny was born the fourth child of nine on October 27, 1958 to Raymond J and Virginia Alberts. He graduated from Lourdes High in 1978, and went on to earn a business degree from Winona State University.
Danny enjoyed classic rock, fishing, and visits with his brothers in Colorado. Danny’s greatest love was his family, and especially the annual Alberts family Christmas and summer picnics. His best friend was his father whom he shared love for the Minnesota Gophers and Twins with. They spent many good times attending sporting events together.
He is survived by his father Ray; eight siblings, Greg Alberts of Washington, Nancy (Bob) Kinkaid of Rochester, MN, Steve (Carol) Alberts of Colorado, Jane (Shelton) Otte of Minneapolis, MN, Allison Alberts, Ted (Connie) Alberts, Pam Alberts, Stephanie (Wayne) Johnson of Minneapolis, MN; and 24 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Virginia.
There will be a private family service on Wednesday, January 5, 2021, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester.
Danny will be forever missed by his family.

Dear Jane, So sorry for your loss. We can't remember when Dan didn't have a smile on his face especially when we were sharing jokes in homeroom at LHS; such a gentle soul. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
I want to express my sadness and condolences to Dan’s family. I got to know Dan when we both worked at IBM . He loved to talk fishing and music with me and about his wonderful big family. He always did a great job and I enjoyed seeing him there. Prayers to you all.
My sympathies to the Alberts family. I was a classmate of Daniel's sister Allison. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. You're all in my prayers.
Dear Alberts Cousins,
I am so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. I am now even more happy that my brothers and I came out to visit you all a few years back. It was wonderful to see Danny and everyone else. I have fond memories of when Janie and Danny came out one summer to stay with us on Long Island when I was around sixteen or seventeen. I believe that my good old friend Chris Fiore and I took both Janie and Danny to see Earth Wind and Fire at the Nassau Coliseum. I didn't know Danny well, but he always struck me as a gentle soul.

Sorry to hear of Danny's passing. My thoughts are with your family.
Very sorry to hear of this and my condolences to the family. I just wanted to say that I always enjoyed talking with him about the Gophers...especially the football team. It was our favorite subject. I would run into in the hallways at work everyday and we would always talk about the team. I'll miss him.

So sorry to hear about Danny Passing. He was such a nice man. When I worked at IBM, I would run into Danny every now and then as he was making his rounds. He would always stop and we would have a short visit. He will be missed but never forgotten.. So sorry for your loss..
