Donna G. Jensen

A memorial service for Donna G. Jensen will be at 11:00 am Friday at Macken Colonial Chapel in Rochester with the Rev. David Fredrickson officiating.  Mrs. Jensen died Monday (Aug. 16th) at St. Isidore Healthcare Center in Plainview, where she had been a resident since last November.

She was born December 23, 1936 in rural Owatonna to Arthur E. and Hennrietta C. (Nelson) Hyland.  On October 16th, 1954 she married Darell A. Jensen in Kasson, and they farmed in rural Hayfield until 1965 when they moved to Rochester.  In 1988 they moved to rural Byron.  Her husband passed away May 14th, 1996.  Donna was employed by Crenlo in Rochester as a dispatch/scheduler until her retirement in 2001.  In 2003 she moved to Plainview.

Donna enjoyed going to the casino, cooking and baking for her family, and playing with Otis, the cat.  She touched the lives of many people and was definitely one of a kind.

She is survived by three grandchildren.  Christopher Jensen of Plainview, and Brandon Jensen and Stacy Jensen of Rochester.  A daughter-in-law, Debra Jensen of Rochester. Three great-grandchildren Kacy, Owen and Brooke.  Two sisters, Ilean Nereson of Dodge Center, and Shirley Hampel of Plainview.  One brother, Gordon “Scotty” Hyland of LaMirada, CA. and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Micheal, two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Macken.  Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Garden in Rochester.
