Joseph Michael Guzinski- Rochester
On Tuesday, July 28, 2020, Joseph Michael Guzinski, loving husband, father, and friend, passed away at the age of 69.
Joe was born April 1, 1951 in Rochester, MN, to Joseph Guzinski and Sis (Lindberg) Guzinski. He attended the University of Minnesota and graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law. Joe practiced law in Rochester, MN, for forty years. Joe married Pam Nereson on June 1, 1979 in Rochester, MN.
Joe was an exceptional swimmer at Mayo High School and went on to swim for the University of Minnesota. Joe greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting for morel mushrooms every spring, fishing in northern Minnesota, and boating on the waters of Lake Zumbro. Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family at their cabin, sharing homemade meals, and celebrating birthdays and holidays together. He was known for his quick wit, intellect, and fix-it skills. There were few pieces of trivia Joe didn’t know and even less things Joe didn’t know how to fix. Joe was calm in a crisis, quick to help others, and a caring friend to many.
He is survived by his wife Pam Guzinski, daughter Sarah, son-in-law Greg, and two grandchildren, Charles and Olivia. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Sis Guzinski and his sister Cheri Clark.
A private family service will be held in August.

Our deepest sympathies to all of you in memory of Joe. Joe was a good man and accomplished a lot in his life. He will be dearly missed. I'll never forget what wonderful landlords you were when we lived on 3rd Ave and I'm glad we got to know you then. Take care.
Pam and Sarah-
You have our condolences at this sad time. We hope you will find solace in picturing happy memories with Joe as your loving husband and proud, supportive father. God bless you both.
Paul and Kati Pehler
My heartfelt condolences to you Pam and to the rest of the family.
I remember competing against Joe on the John Marshal swimming team.
Mayo and JM had some pretty good teams and that's where I got to meet Joe.
He was a great competitor.
When I went into business I was lucky our paths crossed again.
Joe became my Family and Business attorney.
I miss the times sitting in his office and talking about anything and everything for about 45 minutes
before we get down to business.
Joe had a great sense of humor and wit and some pretty good fishing stories.
I'll remember Joe for his friendship and the laughs we shared
God always seems to take the good one's to soon.
In our prayers Mike & Kathie Ryan
My Deepest Sympathy to you Pam, Sarah, Greg, Charles and Olivia. May God wrap His loving arms around you and give you peace and comfort. I just saw Joe a month or so ago and really enjoyed our visit, it had been a long time. God Bless you!
Our sincere condolences to the Guzinski family. Joe has been a longtime friend of our family for many years. We remember his wit, compassion and his intelligence He was always available to help us fix just about anything. Most recently, in 2018, he was a pallbearer at my Mother's funeral. A real prince of a man in so many respects. During the last 3 1/2 years, Joe was determined to be strong and was open to participating in many different procedures. He and his wife Pam were a well oiled machine and worked together as a team. It is a with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to this dear friend who is in his new place. After he greets his loved ones, I'm sure he and my brother Jonathan will get into some "good trouble".
To the Guzinski family,
My sincerest condolences for your loss.
As the former mayor for the City of Kasson, I had the honor and distinct pleasure of working with Joe for several years. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Our love and prayers to all of you. Joe was a great guy and will be deeply missed.
Joe was my law school classmate and my partner in Moot Court. He was funny and smart. We won our case in large part because of how smart he was. He was always the guy I could refer a case to when it fell in his field of law and do it with confidence.
How ironic that I wound up marrying his childhood friend! I never tire of hearing Terry’s stories of hitchhiking across the country with Joe. He will be sorely missed.
I am so sorry Pam and Sarah. This one really hurts.
