Wesley W. Johnson

The funeral for Wesley Johnson will be at 10:30am Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Shaffer officiating.  Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held from 5:00pm ~ 7:00pm Tuesday evening and 1/2 hour prior to the service at Macken Funeral Home on Wednesday.

Mr. Johnson, 81, of Rochester passed away on Saturday July 31, 2010 at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester.

Wesley was born September 23, 1928. He served in the United States Navy during WWII.  He married Avis Wilson on July 2, 1949.  Wesley was an electrician for many years retiring from the City of Rochester as an electrical inspector.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He liked fishing, motocross, bird watching and watching westerns.  He was a practical joker and his sense of humor will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children Nancy (John) Geier of Kasson, MN and Deb (Denny) Siems of Mazeppa, MN; one sister Irene Wilson of West Concord, MN and a brother Allan (Beth) Johnson of Dodge Center; grandchildren Traci (Bruce) Gorder, Ben (Christy) Siems, Broc (Abby) Siems and Brad (Crystal) Siems; great grandchildren Randy, David, Marisa, Dustin, Matthew, Claire, Hannah, Sean, Kellen, Brie; great-great grandchildren Elizabeth, Amadeus, Logan; three step granddaughters; ten step great grandchildren; three step great-great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife, one sister, ten brothers and a long time dear friend Margaret Schultz.
