Edwin “Eddie” Brogan

The memorial mass for Edwin “Eddie” Brogan will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday August 5, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Timothy T. Reker officiating.  Mr. Brogan’s cremated remains will be interred at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Macken Funeral Home and one hour before the service at church on Thursday.

Mr.  Brogan 79 of Rochester, Minnesota died Sunday August 1, 2010 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.

Eddie was born October 2, 1930 in Chatfield, Minnesota to William and Dora (Pettey) Brogan. He was raised in Chatfield and farmed there until moving to Rochester in 1957. He worked in radiology at the Mayo Clinic, retiring in 1993. Mrs. Brogan was a seamstress for the Mayo Clinic.

Survivors include his daughter Debbie (Pete) McIntire of Rochester and son Bill Brogan also of Rochester. His brother Bernard Brogan of St. Charles also survives. He was preceded in death by his wife LaVonne and brother Joe.

Eddie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He enjoyed NASCAR #3, snowmobiling, trips to Las Vegas. He also enjoyed having dinner at Michaels with his family, and walking his dog Eddy at Quarry Hill Park.
