Erica Marie Brantner

Erica Marie (Uhl) Brantner, 37, of Rochester, MN died Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her home in Rochester.

She was born May 31, 1982 in Liberty, MO to Waldemar and Brenda (Baker) Uhl. Erica graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, MO in 2000. While in high school, she was active in sports and was on both the track and swim teams. After high school, Erica attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, where she studied Criminal Justice. Shortly after, she met and married Eric Thomsen and together they had two sons, Cole and Luke.

During that time, she worked as a Veterinary Triage Technician at Flying Cloud Animal Hospital and Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service. Erica also worked in management at Caribou Coffee.

In March of 2012, Erica met her soulmate and best friend, Seth Brantner, and moved to Rochester, MN to start a life together. Erica and Seth were married on November 5, 2012. Within a year, they had their first child together, Harper Elizabeth, mommy’s little mini-me and her pride and joy.

Most recently, Erica spent time caring for her children and her home while also being a loving nanny to two special twin babies.

Erica is survived by her husband, Seth Lyle Brantner, of Rochester, MN; children, Cole Lewis and Luke Michael Thomsen of Hibbing, MN, and Sophia Lynn and Harper Elizabeth Brantner of Rochester, MN; sisters, Andrea Uhl (Peter Japs) of St. Michael, MN and Angela Countess von Pueckler, of Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Waldemar and Brenda and grandfather, Arlin D. Baker.

A private family service was held. A Celebration of Life for Erica will be held at a later date when we can gather.
