Dennis received his Bachelor of Science & M.B.A. from BYU “Barn Yard University” (as he would say). Dennis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran.

Dennis lived a remarkable life and was blessed with/earned many significant titles along the way: son, brother, uncle, specialist (E4 US Army), marksman, husband, father, grandfather, president, serial entrepreneur, board member, philanthropist, friend, and many more.  Dennis loved to spend time with his family and friends, travel, hunt, read, invest and relax at “The Farm”.

Dennis is survived by a sister, Bernice Kvidera of Wauwatosa, WI; four brothers, Robert Semerad of Fairfax, VA, Richard Semerad of Jim Falls, WI, Leonard Semerad of Jackson, WI, and Paul Semerad of Flushing, MI; wife, Rita Semerad of Rochester, MN; son, Jason Semerad (Holly) Semerad of Mahtomedi, MN and granddaughters Mila, Jocelyn and Estelle; daughter Angela Semerad of Kamuela, HI; and son David (Julie Mooney) Semerad of Andover, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludvik and Anna Semerad; two sisters, Ione Stodola and Inez Pelley; two brothers, Arthur and Alfred Semerad; and a daughter Robin Rebecca.

Just a brief note to express our sympathy to the Semerad family.  Cousin Stan

To Rita and her family, just want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. God's blessing to you all.

Sorry to learn of Dennis' passing.  We knew him from the Stewartville Sportsmans' Club, and had so many good times with him.  Prayers to the Semerad Family.

We are Rindy Schutz’s Parents and  spent time with Angie while the girls were buddies growing up. We express our sympathies to you all and hope that your good memories will make that a little easier as time goes by. Angie were always there for you. God bless!

A very fine person has joined others in heaven-    I was fortunate to have known Dennis as a Classmate  at  Immaculate Conception Academy in Elma, Iowa -      Dennis always had a smile on his face   and had such a good heart.   Thankful to have known him and have these great memories  of him  in our school days  in Elma.    My prayers go out to his family and friends.    God bless you Dennis .       Judi Freidhof Henderson

My sincere condolences to Dave,Julie and the entire Semerad family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the memories will comfort you and help you carry your Father's spirit on. With love and support, Cristin

Please accept my heartfelt condolences.  We can look forward to the promise at Isaiah 25:8 – “God will swallow up death forever, Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.”  Death is an enemy that separates us from our loved ones.  When Jesus promise of a resurrection is fulfilled, we will have the joy of seeing our loved ones resurrected (John 5:28, 29) and enjoy life the way our Grand Creator purposed for us…forever on earth. (Matthew 5:5)

Thoughts and prayers to the Semerad family, I want to thank him for all his kindness and support while an employee of his at Cord Cable Co. I will always cherish his sense of rumor and his love for the outdoors. Thanks for the memories Denny, rest in Peace...

May you rest in peace Dennis.  We are so glad you called us after you moved into assisted health care.  You kept in touch until the near end.  Thanks for caring and keeping the family connected, all the reunions and the farm you shared.

David and family, so sorry to learn of your father's passing. I only met him once at David and Julie's wedding. He was a fine man and will be missed by all. My deepest condolences.

My prayers and sympathy go out to the family of Dennis at this time.

Thinking of all of the Semerad family members! Dennis was a joy to be around and will be greatly missed. May his legacy live on through memories and stories. I am glad to have known you, Dennis. Rest in peace.

Love,

Lindsey Shoden
