Selma L. “Sally” Dickey

The funeral Mass for Selma L. “Sally” Dickey will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating.   Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Dickey, 93 of Rochester, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Samaritan Bethany Heights from natural causes.

Selma was born on April 21, 1917 in Noonan North Dakota to Martin and Ingborg (Evje) Benson. On September 29, 1951, she married Richard C. Dickey in Minneapolis.  The couple resided in Bloomington until 1984 when they moved to Rochester.  Mrs. Dickey was a commercial artist for Nash-Finch in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Dickey is survived by three nephews; Carl (Stephanie) Benson of Byron, Norman (Maggie) Benson of Rochester and Marvin (Chris) Benson of Chatfield.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of the Rochester Senior Citizen’s Center.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the Mass on Wednesday at the church.
