Lori J. Lewis

Lori Lewis passed away on February 9th at St. Mary’s hospital after a lengthy illness.

Lori was born on February 5, 1960 to Donald and Ione Jacobs in Wabasha, Minnesota.

She attended Plainview High School graduating in 1978. She also attended Votech in Rochester, for secretarial work.

Lori married Paul Lewis on September 8, 1979 at Immanuel Lutheran church in Plainview, MN. The couple made their home in Plainview until moving to Rochester in 1985. Lori worked at Marquette and Associated Bank for over 25 years. She then worked for Olmsted National Bank for about five years until her retirement for health reasons.

Lori enjoyed traveling, crafts, and playing cards and games. She also enjoyed spending time with family and was very active in church activities at Redeemer Lutheran.

Lori is survived by her husband, Paul of 38 years. Paul and Lori didn’t have any children of their own, but they have numerous children from the youth group at Redeemer Lutheran Church, which they shared their lives with. She is survived by one sister, Donette Adler from Mazeppa, MN; two brothers, Dennis (Barb) Jacobs from West Concord, MN, and Bruce Jacobs from Mazeppa, MN; five nieces and four nephews; and seven great-nieces and nephews; and her dog, Buffy. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Gail (Donald) Andring of St. Charles, MN; and three brothers-in-law, Mark (Judy) Lewis of Lewiston, MN, Jim (Theresa) Lewis of Plainview, MN, and Michael Snyder of Farmville, VA.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Synder of Norfolk, VA, and Sharon Jacobs of Norfolk, VA; one brother-in-law, Verl Adler of Mazeppa MN; one nephew, Greg Lewis of Plainview, MN; her parents; and grandparents.

The Memorial Service for Lori will be on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
