Paul Allen Kinyon
Paul A. Kinyon, 75, of Rochester passed away on Tuesday, October 31 at his home after a brief battle with cancer.
Paul was born April 18, 1942 in Rochester to Boyd and Fern (Miller) Kinyon. In 1962, he graduated from John Marshall High School. He married Catherine Aufenthie in 1963 and had four children.
Paul worked for International Transport for 29 years as well as Ace Hardware. He was a lifetime member of the SE Minnesota Sportsman’s Club, and the gambling manager at the Moose Lodge. Paul was an avid hunter and gunsman. He enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards, and woodworking. He spent winters in Texas for several years and in Florida for the last 3 years. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with family.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; two daughters, Kelly (Doug) Bailey of Florida and Ann (Randy) Wittrock of Rochester; one son, Patrick (Denise) Kinyon of Rochester; and five grandchildren, Katie, Sierra and Spencer Bailey, Benjamin and Colbe Kinyon.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael; an infant daughter; one brother and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 6, 2017 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
