Eugene Edward Millenacker

Eugene Edward Millenacker, 79, of Rochester, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 17, at his home.

He was born in Austin, MN on January 25, 1937 to Margaret (Gallagher) and Edward Millenacker.  He grew up in Adams, MN and graduated from Adams High School in 1954.  He attended MN Business School and graduated in 1956.  He met the love of his life, Mary, in 1953 while both were in high school.  They married on August 30, 1958, and went on to have a wonderful life together.

Gene was a happy, kind person who loved a good joke.  He started his career at Millenacker Motors and Implement in Adams.  Gene spent 28 years at Adamson Motors.  Since his retirement in 2001, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s activities, spending time at the cabin and winters in Arizona.  Gene and Mary traveled the world and loved taking their classic cars out for a drive.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary; children, Michelle (Glenn Switzer), Robyn (Michael Sharpe), Bryan (Tamara) and Troy; grandchildren Will, Kevin, Matthew, Samantha and Lauren.  Also survived by brother, Mark in California and sister, Sharon.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 23rd at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22nd at River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to service on Friday at church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

God's blessings and peace,

Dotty Willkomm

Mary, Mark, Sharon, the kids and grandkids,

my heartfelt condolences over Gene's passing. Mary, I remember with great fondness sitting in your kitchen having breakfast with you and Gene and getting to know you.

Your cousin, Greg.

Mary and family, our most sincere condolences to you. I (Jim) first met Gene at Adamsons in the early 70's when "dealing" on a new auto like 100s of others living in the Rochester area. We "dealt" many times over almost 30 years. Knowing Gene through Adamsons and St Pius X activities I reflect how he always made me feel good about myself and other people. I am sure we join others in saying Gene made the world a better place for all who knew him! Becky and Jim Cook.

Mary - I am sorry for your loss.  My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time

Mary and family.  You have my deepest sympathy.  Very glad we seen you both at our class reunion. Am sorry I will not make it to the funeral, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.     Theresa

I am so grateful we were able to connect this summer in Kipling. Gene had a way of putting everyone at ease. He was a great conversationalist with a good sense of humour. He was a gentle, kind man.

So sorry we can't come to the service. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all

Laverne

Michelle and family,

Sending all my thoughts and prayers to you. May you cherish your wonderful memories and let them bring you comfort and joy. God's Blessings to you today and every day.

Dear Michelle and Family,

So sorry to learn of your loss.  Never knew your das shares the same birthplace as me, in Austin!  And, my dad lived in Adams for awhile, too. And then, 40 years later, Michelle and I connect while working for Family Court-- What a small world...  My love and prayers to you, Michelle, and to your entire family.   Ann B
