Condolences
The family of John G. Neylon has received the following condolences.
Dear Shirley,
I'm hurting for you over the loss of Johnny. Although we've spent little time together over the years, I remember Johnny so very well from my youth, especially when he was in high school and at our frequent family gatherings. He was such a handsome and nice, soft spoken guy, and his joining the Marines was particularly impressive. I also have fond memories of your beautiful wedding and the reception where we were all very entertained by a guest who read personalities through handwriting. It was always a pleasure to visit you and Johnny at your lovely home in West Des Moines on my trips back home. I send you my sincerest sympathy and condolences. Wishing you sweet memories, Mary
To Shirley Neylon - Hi Shirley. I saw John's obituary in the Des Moines Register and saw his wife was you and had to send you this note. I think about you now and then and always wondered if you still lived in Des Moines. Remember me from Bankers Life??? Anyway, so sorry to hear about John. Just wanted you to know that we send you our sympathy and are thinking about you. Hope you get this message as I didn't know that you had moved and don't have your home address. Nels and I live in Huxley and are doing well. We have three children and they were all home last weekend for Christmas. I sure feel for you for this happening before the holidays. Not good anytime. We think every day it is very important to have good health. We are fortunate as we don't have any serious health problems but have lost many friends. Just wanted to send you our deepest sympathy. If you are ever in our area, please let me know. So Sorry for your loss - Nels & Rowena Nord
I'm very sorry for your loss, my condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
With love,
Bob-
Dear friends,
John was such a wonderful husband, father, and friend to so many in the world! He gave me my first job at Custom Printing and Mailing and inspired me to go to college and get a degree. My BFF, Jenny, and I gave him a run for his money in high school, but he always handled our shenanigans respectfully. I enjoyed many years spending time with the Neylons at the cabin. Some of my best memories in life are from Hines Lake and Park Rapids. This past summer, I was able to travel to Rochester with my nine-year-old twins, Nick and Abby, for Jacob's graduation from high school. I am so grateful that John was able to meet my children.
Jenny and I have been friends for over thirty years now. I am so glad to have know her amazing Father, John. I am a better person for having known him. Much love to you all.
God bless,
Christine Esser

Sorry for your loss. I don't remember John too well, but Aunt Martha always shared things about him and it was always good. I'm sure he will be missed by many.
I will always remember John's big smile and gentle soul. He was a kind-hearted man who was always up for a good conversation. Thoughts and prayers are with John during his new journey and with his loved ones left behind.
