Mary Lou Catherine Jensen
Mary Lou Jensen passed with peace and grace at the age of 94 with family at her side on Saturday, October 1. During the last days of her illness she was very lovingly and attentively cared for at the Seasons Hospice house. Preceded in death by her husband Charles, a step-son, Jerry, her parents, two sisters, one brother and her first husband, Stanley. She is survived by two daughters, Cherril (Rich) of Minneapolis, Michelle (Brad) of Fridley, daughter-in-law Mary (Dick) and one sister Peggy, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Mary Lou was born in Eveleth, MN and grew up on the range. She attended several colleges in various states. She earned her Master’s Degree at the University of Wisconsin and began teaching at the college level in Rochester. She met and married Charles Jensen, a native of Rochester, in 1962. She became an exquisite homemaker and mother of two teenagers, as she continued teaching business machines and secretarial practices at Rochester Junior College. She was active in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was professed into the Secular Franciscans, Third Order, in 1956, where she enjoyed many leadership roles. She always exhibited a constant trustworthiness, grace and humility. She and Chuck grew in their faith filled life together. They lived in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi: “Blessed are you for you shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Friday, October 7, at 11:00 AM. With Rev. Msgr. Thomas Cook officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held at Madonna Towers in Rochester, MN on Thursday, October 6, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The Rosary will be prayed, at 4:15 pm, during the visitation on Thursday. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the Mass on Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of Madonna Towers, her dedicated physician, Dr. Quirindongo of the Mayo Clinic, as well as the staff of Seasons Hospice. Their love and support was exceptional.
If you wish to make a memorial donation it will be graciously received and sent to charities and organizations close to Mary Lou’s heart.

i was so sad to hear about the death of your stepmother, Mary Lou. I know that my mother loved to visit and share meals with your mother. She was such a beautiful and lovely woman. I will be thinking and praying for your family at this difficult times. I am sure that they are carrying on a conversation where they off!

Mary Lou was Amazing!
She was a daughter, sister, aunt, wife to 2 lucky men, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Friend by that knew her.
She took us Donahue kids under her wing, after our parents both died. She help us in more way than one. She always had a Smile for you. She was so kind, sweet, loving, caring for all she meet.
My parents & us 3 kids Loved her so Much. She knew it too. Mary Lou and I had many talks about pretty much of everything, especially her Family, how she Loved you all!
And We all knew she Love the Lord! She was always Praying!
I am going to miss her, because I would bring my lunch with and sit with her and we would eat together, she always said she didn't like eating alone. She sure missed all the family and friends that went to Heaven before her. Now She is Finally up there and We have A Very Beautiful Angel watching over US!!!

A Mothers Love is very hard to get over, that bond you share is the HARDEST - you will miss it everyday for the rest of your life... And boy do I know?? ? I Miss You already ?
