Condolences

The family of Kristine Ann Brown has received the following condolences.

Kris Brown allowed me to serve at Bethany Nursery School. The experience was more than wonderful.  I'll never forget her caterpillars becoming butterflies.

We were very sad to hear that Kris had passed away.  All 3 of my kids had her for a teacher at Bethany; and so I got to know her though the years.  She was the best!  Warm, caring, kind, patient---these are only a few of the words that describe her.  She had a gift with children.  She touched our lives and made a lasting impression on us.  We will miss her.

Your family has our very deepest sympathy. Our children (ages 22 and 18) had Mrs. Brown as their preschool teacher at Bethany.  She will be remembered by our family always as a wonderful, loving woman. The kids adored her.  She was extra special to our youngest who had some anxiety going to preschool and would cry and hang onto my leg. He came to adore Mrs. Brown, who would call to assure me he was just fine after I had left. She never was asked to do this but did so out of the goodness of her heart, knowing that I was worried about him.  Our son also requested to visit her on occasion throughout his grade school years as he loved her. The world is a better place because of her as she touched so many young lives. May she rest in peace.  Your family has our deepest sympathy.  We are so sorry for your great loss.

Kris was one of the first people we met when we moved to Rochester in 2000.  My husband Wes had been assigned as Pastor at Bethany. We also registered our youngest son Joe, for Bethany preschool.  Her big smile, gentleness, kindness and friendship was a part of our lives for many years.  We were so saddened to hear of her loss of life.  Our prayers and thoughts are with her family now and in the weeks ahead.  She has touched many lives that will continue on touching others.

Wes, Diane and Joe Gabel

I was so sad to hear the news yesterday of Kris' passing.  I didn't know she was sick.  All three of my kids had Mrs. Brown (and Mrs. Kelly) at Bethany Nursery School.  (they are now 21, 19, and 16!) Mrs. Brown was always so sweet, so gentle, and so incredible with all of the kids at Bethany.  I could tell she truly loved what she did...and I loved her for it.  My heart aches that she is gone so young, just when she should be enjoying a life of retirement.  To Ken and her boys, please know how much she is loved.  May your memories of her comfort you at this incredibly difficult time.  Mrs. Brown left her mark on my family's lives, and I will never forget her and will always love her.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Kris.  She was a wonderful woman.  I knew her through the Congregational Church family.  As many have said, she had a million dollar smile, and always was so friendly to everyone.

My sincere condolences to her family.  I know her love will live through you.

Ken, Ryan, Scott and families,

My heart breaks for you. Kris was always so sweet and kind. Truly an angel on earth, now one of God's angels. Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss.

Mrs. Brown was my preschool teacher at Bethany Preschool in Rochester. All 3 of us kids went there, and had the privilege of having Mrs. Brown as our teacher. It really is true that a teacher makes a huge difference in a child at an early age. We loved her so much that whenever we were in Rochester my mom would take us to visit her after we had been out of school for years. Mrs. Brown left a legacy at Bethany and throughout Rochester, she will be missed deeply

Kris (or Mrs B as my kids called her) was one of the most kind, beautiful people I have ever met.  She was the pre-school teacher for two of my kids at Bethany Nursery School and they loved her.  I will also never forget the kindness she showed us when our daughter, Claire, died of SIDS.  Mrs Brown met me at the door when I brought my son to school and gave me the biggest hug.  She was one-of-a-kind and will never be forgotten.  Sending prayers to the family for your comfort during this sad time.

We are so deeply saddened by the loss of Kris. We have also been so moved by the depth of your devotion to her. We hope you and your family are able to feel the love all around you.

Dear Ken:

I so sincerely want to share my condolences with you.

May you feel God's presence with you in this time.

Myself (Renae) and Marie really have no words to say to how much Kris touched our lives.  Kris was my angel when I was sick.  She was there for me with phone calls, Kris wrote me hand written notes frequently (which I still have) to let me know she was there for me, we frequently went to lunch.  Then when she received her news she called and my mom answered the phone and I was just getting out of one of my Oncology appointments and mom said you better call Kris right away she doesn't sound herself.  I called and she said "It's my turn" I said your turn for what?  Then she shared the news with me.  I wish I had the cure! I miss her so much.

Our thoughts are prayers are with Kris, her family, and her Bethany family.  She was so kind and thoughtful and loved everything about a child.  She will be deeply missed and all three directors at Kids Come 1st have learned so much from her.

Sincerely,

Michelle Strain

It is my hope that Kristine's family and friends may find comfort in our promised future. John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3,4

A time when everyone will live with perfect health. Isaiah 33:24

This is the beautiful Kris with her never ending smile that I will miss so much as will so many.  None more than Ken, Ryan and Scott and their families.  But my sorrow is matched by my belief that she has returned to her healthy self and can smile with true joy in being re-united with loved ones in the loving arms of her Lord.  I also believe she is with us in ways we can't yet understand but knowing Kris, she will be watching over us like no guardian angel we've yet to know!
