The memorial service for Veronica Mussell will be held 11:00 am Friday September 30, 2016, in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester with Father Wilmot officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Veronica was born to Josephine (Mueller) and Emil Mollert on August 29, 1934 in Quincy Township, Olmsted County.  She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1952.  She was united in marriage to Frederick Mussell in 1953 at St. Alois Catholic Church in Elba, MN.  The couple resided in Rochester for 54 years before to moving to Stewartville. Fred died December 3, 2007.  Prior to her aneurysm bleed in 1979 she was a bank teller working for Rochester State Bank and Marquette Bank for 20 years.

She loved playing cards with family and friends and trips out to eat and to the casinos with her husband for a little gambling.  Her favorite pastime was word search and find books.  You rarely saw her without one tucked away somewhere.

Condolences

The family of Veronica Ann Mussell has received the following condolences.

dear Brenda and family,

so sorry for your loss.   Veronica was a special lady.  My son and I have visited her many times over the last couple years especially while my Mom too was art SCC.  We just loved her.  Playing cards and visiting.   We used to down and "harass her" while she was watching her soap.   She would always sole and say you come harass me anytime!  Such a sweet soul, we are better for knowing her and will miss her.

Sincerly, Chris and Izak.

Brenda, I just read of your mom's passing.  I am so sorry to hear it. Take care and know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Brenda and family,  I am so very sorry for the loss of your Mother.  Having just experienced the same just one week ago, I know the hurt and sadness that you are feeling.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Gayle
