Born on November 5, 1920 to William and Adela Ollhoff, he grew up and attended school in Winona. After graduating from high school he met his future wife, Marjorie King of Rochester, at a church youth event at Whitewater State Park. He answered the call to duty and enlisted in the Army Air Corp on September 21, 1942. He was stationed at the B17 training base at Yuma Army Airfield, Yuma, Arizona. He married Marjorie King in 1943. She joined him in Yuma later where they set up housekeeping in a renovated garage until he was reassigned to Morrison Field, West Palm Beach, Florida where he stayed until the war ended. After his discharge, he and Marge made their home in Rochester where they raised 5 children. He was employed at Botsford Lumber Company before taking a position at Olmsted Federal Savings and Loan as a loan officer. He later accepted a position at Mayo Clinic in the Pension and Benefit Section where he stayed until his retirement. In retirement, he and Marge built their dream home on 80 acres between Plainview and Kellogg. In later years they moved back to Rochester to be near family.
He was a longstanding member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as church Treasurer for a time. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing and was an avid reader.
William is survived by one brother Delmar, 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marge of 75 years, daughter Marilyn and brother Marvin.
The funeral service for Bill will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rochester, with Pastor Joel Haak officiating. Condolences

Kathy and family,
My thoughts are with you as you go through this time. May Bill be at peace along with your Mother.
Sue Fisher
Although we haven't seen "Uncle Bill" as much as we would have liked, we each have fond memories of the times spent together. The memories begin with the meeting of mom and dad on your wedding day, and include a joint family vacation at a lake near St. Cloud, Uncle Bill working his "land" and driving his little tractor, and most recently, taking the train to visit us in California. We take comfort in knowing brothers are together again. Keeping in you in our thoughts and prayers. Our heart-felt sympathies.
The Marv Ollhoff family
Bill will be sorely missed as my companion during meals at Samaritan Bethany nursing home. He always had a good story to share, and greeted everyone with a smile. Our deepest condolences, Ludwig Dukart and Family
Our condolences to the Ollhoff family. Bill was a truly good man. My wife Bonnie, mother Alice, and I have many great memories of playing uno or just sitting around talking with Bill and Marge. We are their old neighbors from out in the country. They would often walk across the fields to come visit. Their visits were always welcomed and appreciated, They were great conversationalist and knowledgeable about so many subjects. Oh, how I wish we could have one more of those visits. May they rest in peace. Bill and Bonnie McMillin

I will remember you in my thoughts and prayers. Your father has passed at a most beautiful time of the year. Easter.
May God bless you.
