We are friends of Barbara's and want to send our deepest sympathies to Barb, her family, and to the whole family of Shirley Wilson.  Barb, your mom was an accomplished person and made a positive mark in the world.  We wish you peace with your mom's passing and of course your mother is at peace now.  Barb, our thoughts and love are with you now and always.

The Campbell's

My condolences to the family of Shirley Wilson.  Shirley was my one-room-country-school teacher at district 1331 which used to be on 55th Street NW near the railroad tracks which are west of Sam's Club.  I believe this was one of her first teaching experiences.  She was a wonderful, caring, supportive teacher whose influence I have never forgotten and always appreciated.  She went out of her way to meet the needs of each of her students.  I loved to read and when I had worked my way through our small school library contents, Mrs Wilson brought me books from the Rochester Public Library.  She invited me to stay after school so she could introduce me to playing piano.  She made me feel like I could accomplish anything I wanted to do and also had me convinced that I was very special to her.  What more could an impressionable child want in a teacher? Thank you, Mrs Wilson.  May you rest in peace.

My condolences to the Wilson and LaRock family.

My mother, Bette Wilson, was a sister of Richard Wilson and Shirley's sister-in-law.

As a child, when visiting Minnesota, Dick and Shirley would always have a family gathering...cookouts, games and we got to hang with our cousins.

Shirley was welcoming and kind and didn't seem to mind a bunch of rambunctious kids running around.

May she rest in peace.

Dear Shirley Wilson Family,  I wanted to extend my sympathy to all the family.  Shirley and my mother, Donna Page, taught school together at Longfellow for many many years.  I knew Shirley because she and mom were friends along with fellow teachers, Phyllis Dailey and Dorene Speer to name just a few.

My mother passed away a year ago in January.  But while she was alive, she talked often about her teaching career and the friends she made during those years.

Our sincere sympathy.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Debra (Page) Heim

P.S. Because your mother was an educator, I sent a memorial in her name to the St. Charles Academic Excellence Foundation.  It is our local foundation that provides scholarships to students who will be going on to college.

We all are truly devastated at the loss of our loved ones, and we will miss them dearly.  We have been promised by God that the cause of our sorrow and tears will be a thing of the past.  Hosea 13:14 states that promise. " From the power of the Grave I will redeem them;
From death I will recover them."  Hoping these words bring you some comfort.

My Mom Peggy Lewis wanted me to share her condolences with the Wilson family. She and Shirley attended college together and were both teachers Shirley was a good friend for many years and they sang together in young at heart singers where Mom said Shirley was known for her beautiful singing voice.Shirley and my Mom were also active members of the garden club. Mom is really sad to lose her life long friend Shirley and will really miss her!

With My Deepest Sympathy To the Wilson Family. I use to clean Shirley's house. Shirley always had a smile on her face, and I was excited to see her and hear her story's about the Family. How much she loved her family and how much they meant to her. Not just family, but when she was growing up too. I will miss her and her wonderful smile.
