Robert “Bob” F. McDougald
Robert “Bob” McDougald died peacefully December 17, 2015. He was born June 10, 1950, in San Francisco to William and Evelyn McDougald.
He will most be remembered by his love of family, animals, nature and his 80-acre hobby farm in Osakis. One of his big dreams was realized when he finally could get chickens after he retired. He was often referred to as “Chicken Bob.” The chicken jokes were a constant source of amusement to friends and family.
Bob worked and retired from Xcel Energy in 2007.
Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue; his children Rob (Missy) McDougald; Michelle (Tommy) Weller; Christie (Corey) Minnick; brothers Ron (Lillie) McDougald; John (Nancy) McDougald; sisters Beverly; Barbara; 3 grandchildren; Aundrea (19); Mary (4); Abby (3).
Bob was our Hero and will be greatly missed.

Dear Sue & Family,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. He was such a great guy to be around. He was a great lineman for NSP and he helped me a great deal with the Junior Achievement for years. The kids loved being around him . He was so dedicated in helping the students understand how to run a business. He never got upset with the students. We will offer our prayers for Bob and for you guys . This is a tough time of the year to have this happen. I know Bob is in heaven and will watch over you.

Bob was such a beautiful human being. I know he is a beautiful angel now. In the loving arms of our Lord, he is whole, and without pain. My heart breaks for those he left behind. Sue, you were an amazing wife and caregiver. He was blessed to have you by his side throughout this awful journey. May your many years of laughter and love carry your through these difficult times. I thank you for sharing small pieces of that love with us all. I am nothing more than a phone call or a face time away. I love you my friend and I am so sorry you have to endure this pain.
Love Sue
My deepest sympathy! May The Lord wrap you in his loving arms!
Sue and family, your loss is being felt by so many. The two of you have been such an inspiration to people struggling to deal with the cancer or the loss of a loved one. I thank God for your kind and gentle words during my time of need and your friendship. May you find comfort and peace in the days to come. Here for you dear friend.
my deepest warmest sympathies to Bob's family. He was a wonderful person; a fighter; and fearless. He and Sue inspire me. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Prayers will continue for you Sue. Bob loved life so much. You could tell by his fight with this cancer. Bob stayed so postive thought out. Always had that great smile. :) I am so glad I met you Bob & Sue 25 years ago.. It has been an amazing friendship. I have great memories. Let me know Sue if I can be of any help. May Jesus Christ our Lord continue to hold you in his arms.((( Hugs)))
We send you our love and condolences for your loss. May God be with you during this time and help you find peace and comfort without Bob. He has touched so many lives and is leaving us with such memories. I can still see Bob and Sue's faces with their big smile while waiting for a bus by San Jose City College some 50 years ago.
We wanted to extend our deepest sympathies to the McDougald family. Bob was such a bright light on this earth, that can never be dimmed. I really enjoyed all the pictures of him with the chickens or with his precious Abby. I can imagine a 16 year old Bob coming up to a beaming Sue all those years ago. What enduring memories we are left behind. I do have some solace the company Bob will welcome him and enjoy him just as much as his family and friends here have. Rest in Heavenly peace Bob. Love you Sue. I'm so sorry this has found its way into our lives.
Fly high with the angels. GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN...Your work on Earth is done. Please find my Roger and give him a hug for me.. My thoughts are with you! RIP BOB.
Sue & family,
We are sorry for your loss. Bob was a great person, I'm thankful that not only I had the honor to meet him, but that Kiley did as well. May God bless you all, and be near you in your time of mourning.
