Adele Ann Larson
Adele Ann (Vivien) Larson was born on December 23, 1923 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy in 1940 and attended Business College for a year. She met Ernest Larson at a USO dance in Fort Polk, LA. They married June 29, 1946 in New Orleans. Ernie was a farmer and Adele immediately became a farmer’s wife and loved living in the country. They farmed south of St. Charles near Pilot Mound for many years. Ernie died July 4, 1977. Adele moved to St. Charles selling the farm in 1981. She worked at Camera Art in Lewiston for many years after her husband’s death. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the American Legion and was very active in the Senior Citizens in St. Charles. She was the Secretary of the Senior Citizens for many years. Moving to Fontaine Towers in Rochester 8 years ago she found herself among many new friends. Enjoying coffee, lunch and most of all playing cards or games daily she enjoyed her life. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her most treasured times; she loved a good family gathering with laughter and good food. She is survived by two daughters Sandra (Ken) Wagner, Carol (Lowell) Holum and a wonderful daughter-in-law Nancy Larson, four grandchildren Brian Wagner, Julie Wagner Gran, Sarah Holum and Abby Larson. Three great-grandchildren, Ally and Emma Gran, and Nathan Wagner. Adele loved life and left a legacy of living life to the fullest and aging with grace and dignity. She loved her God, her family and her friends.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Ernest Larson, Jr. in 1988, Brian Walker (son-in-law), two sisters and a brother.
